Hiking

Beat the crowds and come hike the Hills during the winter! Winter is a great time for hiking in the Black Hills, as there is very low traffic out at the popular hiking areas! Some of our favorite nearby trails are of course the trail that is just a quarter mile off of the back side of the property, Iron Creek Trail, Ghost Town, Lovers Leap, Black Elk Peak(FKA Harney Peak), Sunday Gulch, and the infamous Poets Table.

Adventure

Winter is the PERFECT time to adventure the Black Hills. There is much lower traffic during the winter allowing for much for exploration. Go visit the buffalo at Custer State Park, see the faces at Mount Rushmore, eat at many of the Black Hills restaurants and bars, or just take a drive to see the breathtaking views this beautiful area has to offer.

Ice Fishing

Cloud Nine Camping has very close proximity to a couple of some very great lakes. Come out for the weekend and score some nice trout out on the frozen water. Lakota lake is 3 miles from camp and Center Lake is 5.5 miles away. These are just a couple of the closest lakes. You can also visit Sheridan Lake, Pactola Lake, Horse Thief Lake, Stockade Lake, Bismark Lake, Legion Lake, Sylvan Lake, and more!
